After years of frustration in Uganda, our brothers and sisters spend millions of hard-earned shillings to secure jobs abroad, especially in the Middle East. It’s sad that instead of their lives being turned around while there, many of them end up suffering abuse like this or even losing their lives. The regime officials supposed to ensure their safety while at those jobs, are in many cases the same people who either run the Recruitment Agencies that put our people in this danger, or shield the Agencies from being held accountable. For as long as we’re still under the Museveni regime, anyone who expects the situation to get better is simply mistaken.
