NUP Thanksgiving in Bugweri:
Yesterday, at Busembatya Church of Uganda in Bugweri District, the president of the National Unity Platform,
Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert, joined party officials and supporters for a thanksgiving
ceremony in honor of our former Election Management Committee chairperson, Comrade Mercy Walukamba.
The event brought together hundreds of enthusiastic comrades who gathered in a spirit of gratitude, unity, and renewed
commitment to the struggle for a free and democratic Uganda. In his address, the President emphasized the power of the
protest vote, urging citizens to remain resilient and deliberate in their pursuit of change through every available
democratic channel.
Amid the celebrations, many attendees held placards boldly condemning the ongoing state-sanctioned abductions and enforced
disappearances of NUP supporters — a somber reminder of the price many continue to pay in the fight for justice and liberation.
